Took the reigns from Charles Olson in 1968. Oversaw the transition of the all-volunteer Poulsbo Fire Department to one staffed by full-time, paid firefighters and emergency medical technicians. During his tenure, he was heavily involved with the growth of CenCom, the county-wide command network and automated fire alert system still in place today. He was succeeded by our current Fire Chief, Jim Shields in 1985.
