Information about Use of
Multipurpose Room

Poulsbo Fire Department has a large multipurpose room located at the Headquarters Station (Station 71) that is available for rent. In addition to the room, we have a variety of audio-visual equipment that is also available to rent for use in the room. There is also a small kitchen area available. The fee for rental of the multipurpose room is $10 per hour of use. Use of audio-visual equipment is $20 per day for each piece of equipment used.

The district reserves the right to revoke permission to use the facilities at any time. Misuse of any facility could mean a loss of these privileges for future use. Scheduled use of the facilities may be revoked with little or no notice in the event of necessary emergency operations. Determination of necessary emergency operations lies solely with the ranking member of the fire department present at the time.

The following rules shall be observed while using the district's facility:

  • Smoking, gambling, and animals are prohibited inside district facilities.
  • Only foods appropriate to a mid-meeting break are allowed in the public meeting room, i.e. fruit, donuts, cookies. Lunch or dinner buffets are not permitted.
  • There shall be no exchange of monies, sales contracts or any act constituting retail or wholesale commerce.
  • No boisterousness or conduct which disturbs normal district operations shall be allowed.
  • At no time shall the occupancy limit* be exceeded. The supervising adult shall be responsible for enforcing the facility occupancy limit. Determination of overcrowding and reduction or occupancy load shall be at the discretion of the ranking member of the fire department present at the time.
  • Parking shall be limited to the available parking in the fire department's public parking lot at Liberty Road and 10th Avenue. The supervising adult shall be responsible for enforcing the facility parking limit.
  • Materials shall not be taped or otherwise attached to the walls or bulletin boards.
  • The use of alcohol or of controlled substances shall not be allowed within district facilities or grounds at any time.
  • Non-staff members shall have access to designated areas only.
  • Use of the facility shall be limited to the hours between 7:00 am and 10:00 pm.
  • The group using the facility shall be responsible for cleaning and any breakage or damage incurred. The group shall be charged for any necessary cleaning or damage repair.
  • Equipment provided for use by non-department members when using the multipurpose room is limited to tables, chairs and white boards. Audio-visual equipment is available for a fee of $20 per day and is at the discretion of fire department staff.
  • When renting the conference room after hours or on weekends, a key must be issued during regular business hours the day of (if during the week) or Friday (if on the weekend).
    THE KEY MUST BE PICKED UP BY 4:00 PM!

*Occupancy is normally limited to 40 people (due to parking issues) but it can exceed if specifically approved by the Department in advance provided parking issues (beyond the PFD lot) are addressed. This means obtaining permission from surrounding business owners to use their parking. (i.e. Albertson's, John L. Scott, Central Market etc.)
