Fire Department Station 72 was constructed in 1972 by Kitsap County Fire District 18 (KCFD 18) to serve the north end of the fire district. The property for the station was donated to the fire district by the community and in the early days was staffed by volunteers who lived in the area.

Today station 72 is staffed 24/7 with two career personnel and three volunteer resident firefighters. Station 72 consists of three vehicle bays, a small kitchen, dayroom and five bedrooms. The volunteer resident firefighters live at the station and respond with the career staff when they are not working. Station 72 has the following equipment and capabilities: |
