Firefighter's quick response saves home
Fire fighters saved a 2500 square-foot home from becoming a total loss this afternoon just before 5 PM on Cedar Lane, in Poulsbo.
Multiple agencies responded including Poulsbo Fire Department, North Kitsap Fire and Rescue, Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue, and Navy Region NW. When units arrived on scene there was heavy smoke coming from the eaves.
Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the attic, although there was minor smoke and water damage sustained to the second story. The occupants of the home, a man, woman, and their daughter were not home at the time the fire apparently started. The Dad said he came home to find smoke coming from the top of the house. The family is staying with relatives for now and the home is insured.
Kitsap County Fire Marshal is investigating the Fire. Poulsbo Police also responded to the Fire and were able to provide these photos..
